Giulio Gobbetti
Director | Editor | Producer
I am a London-based documentary director, editor, and sometimes producer. For almost a decade I have been producing and editing commercial and non-commercial projects as a freelancer, often in collaboration with the boutique video production company Big Hair Films. For what concerns my documentary work, as a recognition of your contribution to the industry, I have been selected by the BAFTA as a Connect Member, the membership tier dedicated to emerging talent.
In the last decade, I worked on several short and feature documentaries. My student film, Struggle for Existence, screened at several film festivals, including Open City Documentary Festival 2014 in the MyStreet competition. Among my most recent work is the short documentary 652 Miles = 0 (or the Wonderful Convenience of Videocalling), which premiered at the Academy Award / Oscar® qualifying festival CineLebu, and it will screen more than 35 international film festival, including the BAFTA qualifying Bolton Film Festival. In September 2022, my latest short documentary, Neptune, opened at the Giornate degli Autori (Venice Nights) during the 79th Venice International Film Festival. It is now starting its festival run.
